The unique “Explorer” style of the new KLX®300 XPL ABS starts with tough, rugged gear designed to add comfort to the KLX® riding experience. The design is functionally practical so you can ride in city traffic or traverse the trails. Sharp, flowing lines are enhanced by brush-pattern graphics, inspired by Kawasaki’s 1980s-1990s KX™ motocross machines, and blacked-out parts—looking the part as you search for the unexplored on your explorer-style bike.
A round LED headlight gives the front end of the KLX®300 XPL ABS a unique, old-school look. The wide arc of the light offers a wide area of illumination.
A tall, clear windscreen provides optimal comfort for longer rides. Designed to flow air away from the rider’s chest and chin, the wind protection helps reduce rider fatigue at higher speeds.
Hand guards offer off-road protection on the trail and help with wind protection at higher speeds. The hand guards also help to prevent damage to the clutch and brake levers.
A rear carrier with built-in tie-down hooks facilitates carrying essential gear and supplies for a weekend getaway.

With roots in enduro racing and equipment geared for long-distance comfort, the new KLX®300 XPL ABS dual-sport brings fresh capabilities to a proven platform. From city riding and light touring to serious off-road adventures, get ready to explore new possibilities.
The fuel-injected, liquid-cooled 292cc 4-stroke single-cylinder engine of the KLX®300 XPL ABS has its roots in enduro racing. It delivers strong rider-friendly power in the low-to-mid range with crisp response and powerful top-end coming courtesy of cam profiles sourced from the KLX®300R motorcycle. Electronic fuel injection ensures power is consistent across varying temperatures and altitudes, and electric start will fire up the fun at the push of a button.
Engine performance and rider comfort both benefit from a radiator fan that directs hot air away from the rider, an ideal advantage in low-speed riding.
A smooth-shifting 6-speed transmission and optimized final drive spread power across a wide, usable range. The new KLX®300 XPL ABS has the versatility to tackle low-speed maneuvering on the trails or long-distance cruising.

When it comes time to ride in search of unexplored off-road fun, the KLX®300 XPL ABS is ready for the challenge. With strong on- and off-road performance and cruising comfort, the spirit of exploration has met its new partner.
The capable chassis of the new KLX®300 XPL ABS motorcycle starts with a high-tensile steel perimeter frame that allows the engine to ride low for optimum overall balance. An aluminum swingarm contributes to low unsprung weight for light handling and exciting agility both on-road and off-road.
The new KLX®300 XPL ABS motorcycle features long-travel suspension including a capable 43mm inverted front fork with adjustable compression and rebound damping. Uni Trak® rear suspension with adjustable compression and rebound damping, and preload adjustability mean you can tune suspension performance for riding conditions or preference. With 10-in of wheel travel in the front and 9.1-in in the rear, the high-grade suspension gives the KLX300 XPL ABS a comfortable ride on pavement as well as exciting off-road capability.
A relaxed, upright riding position is ideal for longer rides, while a thick urethane seat enhances comfort. A manageable reach to the ground adds to rider confidence.
The new KLX®300 XPL ABS motorcycle is equipped with a powerful 250mm petal disc front brake with dual-piston caliper, and a 240mm petal disc brake and single-piston caliper in the rear. The front brake features ABS, which you can opt to disable for off-road riding.
The KLX®300 XPL ABS features 21-in front and 18-in rear wheels for great off-road potential.

All-digital instrumentation is featured in a lightweight, compact LCD instrument panel. The clear layout provides an easy-to-read view of features such as speedometer, bar-type tachometer, clock, odometer, dual trip meters, and a range of warning/indicator lamps.
